Henry & Alice

I was so chuffed to photograph this lovely couple’s wedding at Longstowe Hall back in May. Epic, memorable weddings come from a mix of ingredients: a stunning venue, brilliant suppliers, good weather, and on this day, an artisan ice cream cart for all the guests, and the photographer, to enjoy.

Mostly though, you need a couple who are genuinely relaxed, and Henry and Alice were exactly that. Happy to let the day unfold naturally, happy to let me get on with my job, no stress, no hurrying, just laughter throughout.

The Venue and Prep

Longstowe Hall looked its best that day. The flower beds were in full bloom, the grounds impeccable, and the team there had carried Henry and Alice’s flowery meadow, countryside vision straight into the marquee’s decor.

Prep happened in the cottage at Longstowe, a relaxed affair in elegant, uncluttered rooms just a short walk from the ceremony, which also took place at Longstowe Hall.

An Evening Mist

Just when you think Longstowe Hall can’t give you any more, the sun set and a mist rolled in over the grounds, turning the whole place into something like a film set. Genuinely stunning.
