Photographs hold a moment still. Film moves, it has your voice in it, the sound of the room, the version of the speech nobody wrote down. Most couples don't decide against a videographer because they don't want one, they decide against it because coordinating two separate suppliers who've never met feels like one more thing to manage.
Ed Bray and I already know how to work a room together. We've shot the same venues, we talk before your day about where we'll each stand, and neither of us needs the other explained to them on the morning of. You still book us separately, on our own terms, but the day itself runs like we planned it as one team, because we did.
I don't send couples to just anybody. Ed and I have worked side by side at weddings for more than seven years now, and in that time I've learned exactly how he moves around a room, when he steps back, when he leans in, and how a couple actually reacts to having him there.
What I look for in a videographer isn't equipment or showreels, it's whether they make my job harder. Ed doesn't. He reads a day the same way I do, he's never in my frame, and more than once a couple has told me at the end of the night they forgot he was even filming.
That's seven years of turning up to the same weddings and never once having to work around each other. I don't say that about many people I recommend.

The most common worry with two suppliers is one ruining the other's frame. We agree positioning in advance, during the ceremony, speeches and first dance especially.

Between us we already know venues like The Old Hall, The Granary Estates and Lanwades Hall well, which means less time working out the room and more time capturing your day.
£2,000 each, less if you book us together
Photography is £2,000. Film is £2,000. Booked separately, that's the price. Book Ed alongside me for the same wedding though, and he reduces his rate for it, ask him directly for the current figure.

Do we actually need both a photographer and a videographer?
Not everyone books both, and that's fine. But photographs and film capture different things, stills hold a single moment, film keeps the voices, the vows, the noise of the room. If you're on the fence, most couples who book both tell us afterwards it was the film they didn't expect to watch as often as they do.
Will you and Ed get in each other's shots?
We talk through positioning before your wedding day, particularly for the ceremony, speeches and first dance, so we're not competing for the same angle. We've done this together before, it's a planned handoff, not an accident we're hoping to avoid.
Do we book you both together, or separately?
Separately. Enquire with me for photography and with Ed for film, using the two buttons on this page. We each run our own bookings, contracts and payments, we're just already coordinated on the day itself.
Is there a discount for booking both of you?
Yes, from Ed's side. Photography stays at my standard £2,000 either way, but Ed reduces his rate when he's booked alongside me for the same wedding. Mention this page when you enquire with him for the current figure.
What does Ed's coverage actually include?
Ed's wedding packages start at £2,000 and include coverage from preparation through to just after the first dance, a highlight film, drone footage, and an online gallery to share with family. Full details are on Ed's own pricing page.
How far in advance should we book both of you?
As soon as you have a date and venue confirmed, ideally. Popular Cambridgeshire dates get booked up 12 to 18 months out for both of us, and booking early means we can start planning the day together rather than meeting for the first time on the morning of.
